Our brand family

It started with Happy D.
A canalside apartment project in Birmingham introduced me to Duravit. More than two decades later, it is still a relationship I treasure.
In Lisa’s words
A fresh way to see the bathroom.
My first experience of Duravit takes me back to the early years of our showroom, around the turn of the millennium. We were working with an architect on a new development of beautiful apartments overlooking the canal at Brindleyplace in Birmingham. He had specified Duravit.
I remember the Happy D. range so clearly. It felt fresh and exciting, and opened up a different design language from the bathroom collections I had been used to specifying. It was one of those moments that changes what you look for.
That project began a relationship that has stayed with me ever since. I have specified Duravit through the years and been invited to its headquarters in the Black Forest several times. Knowing the team, visiting the company and working with the products has made it feel part of our family.
Hornberg · The Black Forest
Rooted in craft.
Open to new ideas.
The Black Forest in south-west Germany has a long history of skilled making, famously expressed in its clockmaking traditions. In Hornberg, Duravit’s own story began with Georg Friedrich Horn’s earthenware factory in 1817.
Today, that heritage sits alongside collaborations with international designers. Philippe Starck’s work with Duravit includes the Starck 1 collection, launched in 1994, and the design of the company’s Design Center in Hornberg.
The original Happy D., created by sieger design, launched in 1998. Its timing fits beautifully with my memories of discovering it soon after we opened in 1999.

Canalside apartments, Brindleyplace
The architect’s Happy D. specification introduced Lisa to Duravit in the early years of Kuche & Bagno. It remains a personal reference point for the way a new collection can change your thinking.

Put the whole bathroom together.
Come and explore Duravit within our bathroom room settings. We can talk through the proportions of the ceramics, furniture and storage, then bring brassware, surfaces and lighting into the same conversation.
Tell us which collection interests you when arranging your visit, so we can confirm the current displays. Our recorded studio tour is also a useful first look.
Bring your questions.
- How much basin space and storage will suit your room?
- Which bath shape works with your layout?
- Could a SensoWash shower toilet be part of the design?
