Our brand family · A story by Lisa Melvin, Founder

Texture,
room by room.

Good design starts with good relationships.

Our relationship with Multipanel has a particularly personal connection. It brings a familiar face back into our projects, alongside surfaces we enjoy using throughout the home.

01 / A familiar face

Still part
of the conversation.

Finnoula, or Fin as we know her, was our showroom manager for 16 wonderful years and very much part of the Kuche & Bagno family. In 2023 she moved into the manufacturing side of the industry with Multipanel.

We are delighted that the relationship continues. We now work with Fin from the other side of the counter, with her support as we explore products and bring them into our projects.

For me, those relationships matter. Knowing the team behind a product makes the conversation about a room, a detail or a new idea that much more enjoyable.

02 / Ash House · Hannah & Lisa

A little texture.
A different atmosphere.

At Ash House, we used panels in the guest restroom, the music room and the formal lounge beside the bar. Each setting shows how a wall finish can help an individual area feel complete.

These selected surfaces sit alongside the home’s bespoke ash joinery, stone and lighting. It is the combination that gives each room its character.

The guest restroom

A narrow vertical panel brings a quieter rhythm beside the mirror, pendant and display niche. It makes a small area of wall part of the overall composition.

Ash House / A place for music

The things you love,
given a place.

In the music room, the panelled recess becomes a backdrop to the family’s instruments. Lighting from above reveals the lines of the surface and gives the collection its own little stage.

It is a lovely example of taking a product into another part of the home and using it as part of a complete design.

Ash House · A warmly lit panelled recess gives the instruments a place of their own.

Ash House / The formal lounge

Connecting the room.

The formal lounge carries the panelled finish across the television wall and alongside the bespoke bar. The repetition ties those areas together, while the furniture and illuminated shelves bring their own details.

03 / Try the idea in our studio

Walnut warmth.
Beautiful contrast.

In this bathroom display, the walnut-effect panelling sits behind a dark Duravit vanity and a crisp white basin. The illuminated mirror picks out the surface, while the green stems add another layer to the palette.

Seeing the materials together makes the idea easier to imagine in your own room. Open the drawer, look closely at the finishes and consider how the wall, furniture and lighting work together.

A design idea / Japandi influences

A softer way
to light the room.

The warm wood effect, simple shapes and restrained palette give this display a Japandi influence. We like the balance between the dark furniture, white basin and the softer detail of the panelling.

This lighting study explores the next idea: a shallow floating ceiling with a warm halo, a more pronounced mirror glow and a discreet strip of light beneath the vanity.

Light at three different heights changes how the room feels. The ceiling gains a gentle wash, the mirror becomes a focal point and the vanity appears to float above the floor.

04 / Beyond the bathroom

A backdrop
to everyday life.

Naturepanel forms the backdrop to these shelving units in our studio. The vertical lines sit behind the open shelves, with integrated lighting adding depth to the display.

Come into the studio and you can compare that lighter look with the richer walnut tones of the bathroom display.
