Our brand family · A personal connection since 2004

A relationship
that began at home.

From the DishDrawer I chose for my own kitchen to a signature double-fridge detail in our clients’ homes.

It started with a DishDrawer

Something different.
Something I had to try.

In 2004, I was choosing appliances for my own new-build home when I came across the Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer. A dishwasher that opened like a drawer felt so different from anything I had used before. I set my heart on having one.

I have always loved discovering innovative products, especially ideas coming into the UK from elsewhere. Whenever I can, I try them in my own home. Living with a product gives you an understanding that stays with you when you are advising a client. You can speak from experience, and from the heart.

A Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer has been part of my kitchen ever since. I believe I have only replaced mine once during that time, and my own experience has been very positive. It has become a favourite among my family, friends and colleagues too.

I still appreciate the everyday details: no large drop-down door to work around, and the choice of single or double drawers. A single drawer at a comfortable height, or the upper drawer of a double, also means less bending when loading.

From our showroom to our clients’ homes

The double fridge.
A signature detail.

Shortly after that first purchase, we began working with Fisher & Paykel at Kuche & Bagno. One of our early showroom features was a double-fridge arrangement: two appliances brought together with a joining profile, raised so the kitchen plinth could continue beneath them.

That continuous line helped the refrigeration feel part of the furniture. It became a signature detail in our designs, and we used it in many clients’ homes over the years. These photographs from our archive show the idea in three very different kitchens.

Ideas to live with.

Fisher & Paykel has remained one of our go-to appliance brands, particularly when we want something out of the ordinary. Our 2019 Concept Kitchen included its fridge freezer and a single DishDrawer, bringing that practical thinking into a setting full of hidden storage and bespoke details.

For me, a showroom is a place to explore how products work together, open the doors and consider what would make a difference in your own home.

Still curious

Always looking
for the next good idea.

My visits to Fisher & Paykel in Milan and London have continued that interest in how appliances can improve daily life. Products such as the CoolDrawer, which can switch between fridge, freezer and pantry settings, give us more freedom to design around the way a household uses its kitchen.

Our relationship began with an appliance I chose for my own home. It has grown through years of using the products and incorporating them into our designs. That is the experience I bring to conversations with our clients.
