The brief
Work with the client to reconfigure part of the home into sleeping, dressing and wellness spaces, alongside adjoining bedrooms and a shared bathroom.
The design response
A generous shower and drying area, an opaque sliding screen and twin wash bowls create a private bathing space influenced by Japanese rituals.
The considered detail
Dark walls, metallic radiators and large-format flooring give the room its character. The design evolved with the project constraints; the proposed spa bath was omitted from the final scheme.
