Bathrooms & wellbeing · A design feature
A bathroom.
A private retreat.
A bath beneath an arched window. Warm timber, soft light and a sauna that feels part of the room.
One room, considered together
Texture, light
and a sense of calm.
The juniper feature brings character to the sauna, while fluted oak carries the warmth into the bathroom. Pale surfaces and black detailing give the separate elements a shared palette.
A sauna in the everyday.
A small fixed glass panel beside the window sits behind the bath, with a larger opening sauna door alongside it, keeping the timber, benches and illuminated juniper in view. The showering area sits to the right of its entrance, tucked out of the main view. Simple matt-black pull handles complement the glazed doors, with a concealed line of warm light at the shower entrance’s ceiling junction.

A generous floating vanity brings the basins together without filling the floor. Backlit mirrors soften the wall, while a few tactile accessories complement the oak and pale countertop.

The design language,
seen in a visual.
The earlier visual explores the relationship between bathing, showering and sauna: transparent fronts, dark fittings, timber and warm concealed light.
Shown as a reference for the materials and glazing. The project photographs above show the room’s layout, with the proposed finishing touches visualised.
