Kitchen project
A kitchen
for gathering.
A curved island, soft taupe cabinetry and a connection to the sitting room. Four views of a kitchen shaped around cooking, conversation and time together.
The island
A softer centre
to the room.
The rounded island gives the kitchen a distinctive focal point. Its darker, veined surface meets a white return, with a central smoked-glass support keeping the base visually light.
The curve invites conversation while leaving the rest of the kitchen open to view.

Practical pieces.
Considered details.
Reflective surfaces, warm light and furniture-like cabinetry give each part of the kitchen its own character within a quiet, connected palette.
Light around the cooker.
An antiqued mirror splashback sits behind the stainless range. Lighting beneath the shelf draws attention to the surface and gives the cooking area a different mood.
A place for drinks.
A cabinet with interlocking circular detailing sits between two wine coolers. A lamp and artwork above give this practical corner the feeling of a furnished room.
Beyond the kitchen
A view through
to living.
Timber, low cabinetry and an illuminated display niche lead towards the sitting room. The steps create a change of level, while the open view keeps the two spaces connected.
Planning those relationships is part of designing the kitchen as a room for everyday life.
